Due to our rapid expansion, ICIS has an exciting position available for a Analyst assigned to U.S. carbon markets, based in San Diego, California.
Analyst – California Carbon
ICIS Tschach Solutions is looking for a carbon/energy market analyst with strong communication and analytical skills. The Analyst will assist the Director of US Emissions Markets in product development. They will work closely with colleagues located in Europe and Asia. Help tailor the product offering constantly to the evolving market needs. 
California’s Cap and Trade program was voted Time magazine’s #1 Green story of 2013. This is an opportunity to gain experience and expertise in the evolving carbon emission markets. We have recently launched our products in California and this is a great opportunity to help grow the business in a very dynamic and emerging carbon market in the U.S.

Duties Include:

- Support and assist in data analysis and modeling
- Brief on policy and regulatory affairs 
- Develop, maintain and enhance relations with market participants from industry and politics
- Deliver written analysis reports
- Assist in product development
- Represent our company at trade fairs & conferences
- Some travel required (U.S. and Intl)

Key Skills Preferred

- Experience in US energy markets
- Analytical and quantitative background
- Experience in political analysis
- Knowledge of legislation and markets (California Air Resources Board, WCI, EPA, etc.)
- Programming/modeling skills 
- University degree in relevant area – Public Policy, Economics, Business, Finance etc.
