The Carbon Associate will be responsible for overseeing and conducting carbon verification and validation audits and, to a limited extent, will support Forest Management (FM) certification services. S/he will be directly involved in all aspects of the US region carbon services, including general project management, and auditing of forest carbon projects in the US region; and support and assist regional staff in delivery of carbon services globally, including the continued development and growth of forest carbon validation and verification services. The Carbon Associate will also assist in continued development of carbon services offered by RA-Cert regional and affiliate offices, including the maintenance and development of auditing tools and support systems, marketing tools, and other tasks as needed for delivery of carbon services in regional offices. To a limited extent, this position will support FM certification services for a subset of new and existing forestry clients in the US and may be directly involved all aspects of FM certification pre-assessment, assessments and audits.
Degree Requirement Preferred:Ã‚Â Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management or related field required
Years of Experience Preferred:Ã‚Â 3-5 years of experience in a minimum of 1 year in voluntary carbon markets (knowledge of forest carbon projects/standards preferred)
