A climate change and forestry consultant is sought to support the existing team working on REDD+ and agriculture policy, projects, and transactions. The work will include conducting research and analysis on REDD+ policy and projects, helping to prepare advice for clients based on this research and analysis, contributing to project due diligence, participate in outreach and acquisition, with specific duties tailored to the consultant’s experience. The position will be located in Amsterdam or Washington, DC and requires international travel. Ã‚Â A preference for location should be indicated.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in forestry, forest policy, or the carbon markets; or a master’s degree and a demonstrated interest in land use and climate change. Candidates with more experience are also encouraged to apply.
Experience or knowledge of REDD+ required, experience with other areas of climate change and/or climate finance desirable.
