Carbon Credit Capital is based in New York City with offices in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Carbon Credit Capital is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial professional with a strong foundation in energy project development to participate as part of Carbon Credit Capital’s India team in developing high quality energy efficiency and renewable energy carbon offset projects to contribute to our global business pipeline.

The Director Engineering will be responsible for the following:

  • Actively participate in business development
  • Collect data and information from potential clients to evaluate CDM potential
  • Evaluate high potential emission reduction carbon finance projects at client sites
  • Prepare project proposals
  • Travel to client meetings and domestic project sites
  • Communicate with prospective and current project sponsors
  • Lead business development meetings with clients
  • Conduct energy audits for power, iron and steel, chemical, textile, manufacturing and other industrial plants and recommend energy efficiency and carbon emission reduction measures, including renewable energy systems.
  • Prepare feasibility reports, Detailed Project Reports and investment proposals for emission reduction projects.
  • Prepare Project Design Documents (PDDs) for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) certification and carry out other activities related to CDM certification.
  • Assist in liasoning with various stakeholders including the government, industry and media  
  • Market the company by attending and presenting at industry conferences, producing industry intelligence as reports and promoting the company in print and media
  • Monitor policy and market developments in India that impact the business focus of CCC

The candidate should possess the following:

  • Masters degree in Engineering with 3 years of work experience
  • Experience in the power, clean energy, clean tech or carbon markets
  • Understanding of the Kyoto Protocol Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and experience with CDM methodologies and writing Project Design Documents (PDDs)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong project management skillsStrong relationship management skills

In addition, the candidate should be self-directed, a quick learner and willing to assume responsibility.
