Global Green Carbon seeks Intern for work on a Feasibility Study for a REDD+ Project in Cameroon

GGC seeks an Intern to work for 3 months on an early-stage Global Green Carbon REDD+ project in Cameroon. The main output from this work would be a carbon and financial model, which could be used as the basis for negotiating a Definitive Agreement with the government, and for assessing the structure and preliminary feasibility of the project.

Beyond this three month period there could be the opportunity to extend the contract to work on the full feasibility study, the CCB PDD and VCS PD, and ultimately the implementation of this project in Cameroon. There may also be the option to work on other GGC projects.

Experience working in forest carbon project and project development is required, and knowledge of REDD+ carbon protocols and carbon accounting standards is essential. Some experience with remote sensing analyses and deforestation modeling would be ideal, but not necessary provided the applicant has proven quantitative skills and statistical knowledge. Fluent written/spoken English is a requirement, as is proficiency in French. The position is not location-dependent.
