Policy Analyst – SAIC

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Policy Analyst to be part of a team providing services related to sustainability and climate change, including policy analysis, training development, organizing and facilitating workshops on climate change impacts and adaptation, and calculating greenhouse gas emissions. The position will be located in McLean, VA.
The successful candidate will conduct research, assist in preparing planning and reporting documents, briefings or other written communication, support workshop planning efforts, and perform emission calculations.

Required Education and Skills – Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Climate Change or related field. Excellent organizational skills, and oral and written communications skills. Ability to develop, modify and troubleshoot spreadsheets (Excel).
Desired Skills: Experience working with databases (MS Access) and common scheduling software (e.g., MS Project). Experience working with US Federal government customers in a technical capacity. Previous experience writing technical papers and/or preparing poster-type presentations. Ability to show initiative and work with minimal supervision.
Due to contract constraints, US Citizenship is required.
