carbonjobs is currently working with a specialist environmental, climate change and energy consultancy client who is looking to fill a newly created International Development – Program Manager opening.

Environmental and Energy-based project assessment and delivery success attained here in Australia has led our client to win a number of highly sought after international development engagements scattered throughout various Asian and South American countries.  Additional projects are likely to come on-line in the coming months resulting in the opportunity for a full-time role created around both the winning and delivery of these international development engagement.

Relevant expertise and responsibilities:

  • Compile and present relevant tender documentation in line with existing international frameworks including the development of additional relevant relationships
  • Identify, assess and determine investment and financial flows necessary to address climate change in energy sector based on an internationally approved assessment methodology such as UNDP methodology.
  • Provide technical support regional advisory and information sharing bodies for effective dissemination of project results in various national, regional and international forums.
  • Liaise with existing and potential client representatives, consultants including teams of engineers, subconsultants, contractors and sub-contractors, and suppliers where appropriate.
  • It is anticipated that the successful job seeker will already hold a number of key relationships with various funding/financing organisations such as the World Bank, AusAid, Asian Development Bank, UNIDO and other UN and non-UN related bodies.

Whilst our client is open to reviewing applications from across Australia, it is initially anticipated that the role will be based in either Melbourne or Canberra when a number of key stakeholders currently reside.
