Tenure and REDD+ Specialist

Under the supervision of FOA’s Tenure team, and in close consultation with the UN-REDD Coordination Team, the Tenure & REDD+ Specialist will support the implementation of the tenure component of the UN-REDD Global Programme.


  • Identify and liaise with governments and counterparts of REDD countries interested in receiving targeted support on tenure in Latin America, Asia-Pacific; and Africa;
  • Elaborate work plans for countries receiving target support;
  • Provide technical support to countires for the work on tenure for REDD+;
  • Contribute to the drafting of knowledge products;
  • Represent FAO & UN-REDD in global events and meeting on tenure and REDD+

Minimum requirements:

  • Advanced university degree in land tenure, land administration or related field;
  • Five years of relevant work experience;
  • Working knowledge of English, French or Spanish and limited knowledge of one of the other two
