The Carbon Ratings Agency (CRA) is an independent and professional provider of ratings on carbon assets. Our services are designed to provide leading financial institutions, corporations, governments, traders and developers with unbiased intelligence and analysis of the factors that affect the pricing of carbon market assets. We are looking to recruit a Senior Analyst for our Ratings team

Role and Responsibilities

As part of our Ratings team you would:

  • Take responsibility for reviewing emissions reduction projects, based on analysis of the risk factors that affect project performance;

  • Develop CRA’s database of projects, assessing the fundamentals of projects and recording their progress;

  • Work on the tools and analytical methods for continually upgrading the quality of the analytical process;

  • Identify and analyse trends within sectors and regions, and contribute to CRA research papers;

  • Contribute to the Ratings team product development process.

Profile

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A degree in engineering, economics or a mathematical based subject (Masters preferable, but Bachelors degree applicants will be considered);

  • Up to 5 years of experience in the development, appraisal and/or evaluation of projects in carbon, energy, industrial or infrastructure sectors;

  • Fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage and knowledge of the Chinese carbon market highly desirable;

  • Strong technical and analytical skills;

  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken;

  • Self-motivation, flexibility and ability to work in a team.

Role and Responsibilities

As part of our Ratings team you would:

  • Support the further development of CRA’s statistical model, assessing the correlation between the different risk factors and the statistical relevance of each one of them;

  • Work on the tools and analytical methods for continually upgrading the quality of the analytical process;

  • Identify and analyse trends within sectors and regions, and contribute to CRA research papers;

  • Contribute to the Ratings team product development process.

Profile

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A degree in engineering, economics or a mathematical based subject (Masters preferable, but Bachelors degree applicants will be considered);

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the development, appraisal and/or evaluation of projects in carbon, energy, industrial or infrastructure sectors;

  • Excellent numerical and statistical skills are essential;

  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken;

  • Self-motivation, flexibility and ability to work in a team.
